Photo Scanning Price Comparison

Just to do a reality check I decided to go online and pick the first photo scanning company that came up to compare their pricing to ours. At first glance, they were quite a bit lower than us, however when I selected all the options that we include in our pricing, on a 500 photo order we came out over $25 lower and this is why. They added on $.10 to scan at 600 dpi, $.04 each to scan photos in order, $.05 to rotate each photo, $.04 to color enhance, and extra disc was $19.95 and I didn’t look at the cost of shipping to them. We include all of these options plus, your photos don’t need to all be 4×6 inches, we take photos from postage size to 10 x 14. Extra copies are $8. Plus we custom number or name your photos as a batch, and customize your packaging. We are not a big business so your photos are only handled by one person and I scan them one at a time.

I also looked at the cost of digitizing film, this same company charges $.38 to $.68 per foot while we charge $.15 per foot for this professional service. So, look close at what you are purchasing.

We will often price match other companies for the same services so don’t worry about putting your treasures in the mail.
