Getting Your Scanning Done Right

We are more confident recommending that your photos and slides do not get mailed or sent out of State to be digitized. These are family photos that can never be replaced. If you are going to scan slides yourself, pick a good flatbed scanner with a good software program. Epson make good ones.

Set your scanner to 2400 dpi for small slides with the color correction on. Preview a couple first to make sure the color looks good. Then scan away. Slides can take 2 – 3 minutes each, there is no fast way to digitize a slide and still have good quality.

When scanning your photos, set your dpi size to 600 for up to 8×10 and 300 for larger sizes. This will give you enough pixels to get lare prints. Also, whenever you ajust a jpg image and save it, the file size gets a little smaller, so start with large files.

We can digitize all sizes of negatives, slides and photos. We also keep our prices competative and will price match for the same or better quality with other local companies.

We don’t require that you remove slides from trays or photos from albums because we do custom work. This means that your media is handled with the greatest care and digitized in the best resolution as we can. We do not just do a cookie cutter system of scanning.

We can digitize 35mm film and slides as well as the large format, the 126mm square slides, and every size negative and prints.
